 Description

A repressing of the original CC-40 album of the same title. Probably repressed to meet the demands of a tougher children's record set that would not break as easily, thus the new "Superflex" label and binding.

 Contents

Side 1: Running Away (Part 1); Side 2: Running Away (Part 2); Side 3: Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby (Part 1); Side 4: Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby (Part 2); Side 5: The Laughing Place (Part 1); Side 6: The Laughing Place (Part 2).

 Comments

Between CC-40 and DC-116, this is generally less common, the "Non-Breakable" binding being the least common of these three early Capitol albums.

 Credits

Featuring Johnny Mercer and the Pied Pipers, James Baskett, Luana Patten, Bobby Driscoll. Music by Billy May and His Orchestra.

 Variations

Binding: "Non-Breakable" version (see picture) does not mention Song of the South nor Superflex on spine.
