 Country

Great Britain

 Card Size

Front-of-House (8" x 10")

 Description

Complete set of 8 front-of-house cards used in British theater houses. Very much like American lobby cards but smaller.

 Scenes

Sally picks up her son after being gored by the bull; Brer Fox shouts "He's mine!" to Brer Bear, eager to knock Brer Rabbit's head off; Brer Bear makes a "dollar a minute" swinging in the trap meant for Brer Rabbit; Brer Rabbit sinks his fist into the Tar Baby; Johnny asks Uncle Remus if he must return to the plantation; Uncle Remus, the children and Brers walk over the hill; Brer Rabbit gets ready to leave the Briar Patch; Ginny scolds her brothers Joe and Jake on the way to Johnny's birthday party.

 Comments

It is undetermined whether these front-of-house cards came from the 1946 or 1956 release, but because the script font used at the bottom of the cards is typical of the 1946 release, combined with the fact that there are more live action scenes depicted, I will assume these cards date to 1946.
